There is no water in Thane, Dombivli, Kalyan on Fridays

Now water supply is stopped every Friday to provide water storage

Maharashtra Industrial Development Corporation (MIDC) will stop water supply tomorrow, Friday, for planning and repair work of water storage in Barvi Dam. The decision will be implemented from Friday, June 2. Therefore, the water supply from MIDC to the cities of Thane district will be closed from 12 noon on Friday, 2nd June to 12 noon on Saturday, 3rd June.

Due to this decision, water supply to Thane, Mira-Bhainder, Kalyan-Dombivali, Ulhasnagar, Ambernath and industrial estates will be shut off. Due to this shutdown, water supply will be at low pressure for the next one to two days.

As per planning, water supply to cities will be shut off every Friday from June to provide water storage till August 15. MIDC has planned to supply the water storage in the dam till July 15.

Barvi Dam in Thane district supplies water to Thane, Mira-Bhainder, Kalyan-Dombivali, Ulhasnagar Municipal and Ambernath Municipal areas as well as industrial estates like Badlapur, Ambernath, Dombivali and Thane TCC.
