Mumbai: Embracing simple living and high thinking, Hashuji Advani spent his entire life for social service. He was born in Sindh province of Pakistan. Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis today said that the work done by Hasuji, who came to New India as a refugee after the partition of the country, for social service is incomparable.
On the occasion of the birth centenary of late Hasu Advani, a function was organised at the Vivekananda Educational Complex ground in Chembur. Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis was also present. MLA Prasad Lad, Director of Tips Company Kumar Taurani, President of the organization Suresh Malkani, and Secretary Rajesh Gyani were present on the dais.
The Chief Minister said that after the partition of the country, the Sindhi community came to India as refugees. The Sindhi community was rehabilitated from the camps. In this restoration work. Hasuji played a big role. Hasuji, who left his home in Pakistan, worked to wipe the tears of the refugees. The Sindhi community which came as refugees has created the world through struggle and today the society is progressing in every field.
Hasuji, who made a big revolution in the education sector, made his mark from the post of corporator to minister. He also served as the state’s finance minister. He was also the finance minister when the state budget was presented. Had they got more life, we would have seen more changes due to their work. The educational institution founded by him is named after Swami Vivekananda. This shows their vision and understanding of the future, “the Chief Minister said.
Today, India is the fifth largest economy in the world. We will soon be in third place. India became the world’s largest economy in 1947. This responsibility lies on the shoulders of the youth who are strong in every way. Swami Vivekananda used to say that a strong youth takes the country forward at a fast pace. Only the youth can make India a superpower. “We have to fulfil the dream of Swami Vivekananda by making the country a superpower,” he said.
Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis also released a coffee table book based on the life and works of Shri Advani. A large number of students, teachers and office staff of the college participated in the event.
