Date, time fixed to again add prefix ‘Prime Minister’ to Narendra Modi; Oath ceremony on May 30 at 7 pm
The date and time have been fixed to add the prefix ‘Prime Minister’ to the name of Narendra Modi again. Modi, who was re-elected with a thumping majority for a second term at the centre, will take oath at the Rashtrapati Bhavan on Thursday. The ceremony will take place at 7 pm.

In a press communique, President Ram Nath Kovind said, “The President will administer the Oath of Office and Secrecy to the Prime Minister and other members of Union Council of Ministers on 30.05.2019 at 07.00 p.m. at Rashtrapati Bhavan.”

PM Modi had met President Kovind and staked a claim to form a government at the centre on Saturday evening. The BJP-led National Democratic Alliance had won a resounding majority in the Lok Sabha elections on Thursday, securing 352 seats in the 545-member lower house of parliament.
On Saturday, amid the loud applause and desk-thumping, Narendra Modi got elected as leader of National Democratic Alliance. Earlier, Modi was unanimously elected as the leader of BJP parliamentary party. BJP President Amit Shah proposed his name and Rajnath Singh seconded it.
