Unseasonal rain in Dombivli, Kalyan along with Mumbai, Thane

Unseasonal rains lashed Dombivli, Kalyan areas along with Mumbai, Thane on Tuesday morning. Mulund, Andheri, Jogeshwari, Goregaon, Malad, Kandivali, Borivali, Dahisar and Diva, Dombivali, Kalyan, Ulhasnagar, Ambernath, Badlapur also received rain with thunder. Mumbaikars going to work in the morning were overwhelmed by the rain.
In Kalyan Dombivli, around 5:30, 6:30 in the morning, unseasonal rains accompanied by thunderbolts made a powerful appearance. Newspaper vendors, school going students were also harassed. The unseasonal rains also affected the vendors, buyers and vehicle drivers who were selling vegetables in the premises of the Kalyan Agricultural Produce Market Committee since dawn.
Palghar and Dahanu also received unseasonal rain with lightning. Due to this rain, the rabi crops and horticulture are expected to suffer huge losses.
Traffic jam on Mukund Company to Kalwa bridge route
Meanwhile, the rain in Thane district on Tuesday affected the traffic system in the city. On Monday morning, water pooled under the bridge at Mukund Company. Due to this, there were queues of up to four kilometers on the Mukund Company to Kalwa Bridge route. Due to this traffic jam, the employees going to office in Navi Mumbai suffered.
