Petition of UBT group in Supreme Court against Assembly Speaker

Mumbai, Dt. 4
The Uddhav Balasaheb Thackeray group has moved the Supreme Court against Maharashtra Legislative Assembly Speaker Rahul Narvekar. UBT MLA Sunil Prabhu has filed a petition in the Supreme Court.
In this petition, the Ubhata group has requested that the Supreme Court should direct the Assembly Speaker to take a decision regarding the disqualification of rebel MLAs including Eknath Shinde at the earliest.
The Uddhav Thackeray group of Shiv Sena had demanded that disqualification action should be taken against Eknath Shinde and the MLAs who accompanied him. The Supreme Court had said that the Speaker of the Legislative Assembly has the right to take this decision after the hearing in the Supreme Court.
Although it has been two months since this hearing, the Assembly Speaker has not taken any decision. The Assembly Speaker has not yet taken any step in this regard. Ubhata group says that we (Thackeray group) have given representations to the Assembly Speaker thrice so far but it has not yielded any result.
