/The Ahmedabad high speed train service planned from BKC in Mumbai is passing through 21 km of Mumbai-Thane district. The train will take turns like Thane, Shilphata, Mhatardeshwar and Kopar and will go towards Ahmedabad. This is an ambitious project of the central government. The work on this railway was stalled during the tenure of former chief minister Uddhav Thackeray as there was no cooperation from the state government. The Thane municipal corporation had opposed the land acquisition. Now with the change of government in the state, this railway line has gained momentum again. Chief minister Eknath Shinde has directed revenue officials to complete the essential procedures for the work. The government machinery is working at a rapid pace to complete this railway line within the stipulated time.

The land for this railway line and the adjoining affected area will henceforth be registered in the development plan as the said railway line. Since shilphata, kopar area is covered by 27 villages, the development plan of 27 villages as affected area will be registered as per the said railway line as per the government order. The Kalyan Dombivli Municipal Corporation administration has approved the administrative proposal as the said railway line in the plan in 27 village limits to complete this prescribed procedure. The commissioner has appealed to the 27 village citizens to file some objections and suggestions on the approval.
