Supreme Court rejects permission to vote for 5 o’clock in the morning
The Supreme Court dismissed the petition on Monday that it was urged that the Election Commission should be directed to start the poll for the seventh phase of Lok Sabha elections instead of seven o’clock in the morning at 5:30 AM.
The reason for the petition was due to the heat raging and holy month Ramzan.

Dismissal bench of Justice Indira Banerjee and Justice Sanjeev Khanna dismissed the petition saying that the time of polling is scheduled from 7 am to 6 pm and voters can vote in the morning also.
The Supreme Court said to petitioner advocate Mohammad Nizamuddin Pasha, “The time of the morning is from seven o’clock to evening six. People can come in the morning to vote.
With the change of time, the EC may have to face systemic problems.
