Mumbai- 3000 new modernize CCTV cameras will be installed at various railway stations of Central Railway.
Mumbai Suburban Division of Central Railway is from Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus to Karjat, Kasara, Khopoli, Panvel. The aim is to install the cameras by March 2023.
Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus, Dadar, Kurla, Lokmanya Tilak Terminus, Thane, Kalyan Stations on Central Railway as well as Byculla, Paral, Ghatkopar, Mulund, Diva, Kopar, Dombivli, Kasara, Igatpuri, Khopoli, Wadala, Juinagar, Nerul, Belapur, Panvel modernize CCTV cameras will also be installed in other stations.
It was said that in some places the cameras will be completely new and in some places the existing cameras will be replaced. At present, around 3 thousand 100 CCTV cameras have been installed in more than 75 railway stations in Mumbai division.
