Mumbai : 27-hour megablock to demolish Karnak flyover

Start of work on November 19 at 11 pm

On 20th November local only upto Byculla station

Mumbai – A mega block of 27 hours will be taken to demolish the 154-year-old Karnak flyover between Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus and Masjid Bandar railway stations. Therefore, on November 20, the suburban service will continue up to Baikal on the main route, and up to Wadala on the harbor route. 36 long distance trains have also been cancelled.

The work of demolishing the dangerous Karnak port flyover will start at 11 pm on November 19 and will continue till 2 am on November 21. As a result, the suburban service between Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus to Byculla and Wadala will be closed during this period. Hence, local trains coming from Kasara, Khopoli will be run to Byculla, Parel, Dadar and Kurlya and will be released from here on the return journey. Locals trains coming from Panvel on the harbor will be run to Wadala and from here they will leave again in the down direction.

Air-conditioned locales have been completely canceled during this period.

Pune-Mumbai Intercity Express, Hussain Sagar Express, Devagiri Express, Mahalakshmi Express, Nanded Rajya Rani Express and Garibrath Express arriving in Mumbai on November 19 have been cancelled. On November 20, Mumbai-Nanded Tapovan, Mumbai-Pune-Mumbai Intercity, Mumbai-Jalna Janshatabdi, Mumbai-Manmad special train, Mumbai-Kolhapur Mahalakshmi Express, Mumbai-Manmad Panchvati Express and some other long distance trains have also been cancelled. Madgaon Kokankanya Express, Mandvi Express will depart from Panvel instead of Mumbai on November 19 and 20, while some trains will depart from Dadar, as well as Pune. Pushpak Express, including Howrah Ferozepur Indrayani Express, Madgaon Janshatabdi Express, Tejas Express, Mandvi Express, Kokankanya Express and other trains coming to Mumbai will be run only up to Dadar and Panvel.
