MUMBAI- During the period of seven months from April to October 2022, 193.62 crores revenue has been earned from tickets checked by Central Railway.
Ticket checking is carried out by Central Railway in suburban, mail express, passenger services and special trains to curb ticketless and irregular travel.
During April-October, a total of 29.03 lakh cases of ticketless travel and unregistered baggage were detected. The revenue from ticketless travel is 193.62 crores during April-October period.
Seven ticket checking staff have recovered more than 90 lakhs each.
