New Delhi: Chief Election Commissioner Sunil Arora today announced the dates for Maharashtra and Haryana assembly elections in New Delhi. Thereby, an immediate code of conduct has been implemented in both the states. Voting will be held on October 21 in both states and counting will be held on October 24. The Chief Election Commissioner announced the announcement of Maharashtra and Haryana Assembly elections.
The notification for the election will be given on September 27, and October 04 is the last day for filing a candidate. Candidate applications will be scrutinized on October 05. Applications can be withdrawn on 07 October. According to the Election Commissioner, 8.94 crore voters will vote in 288 assembly seats in Maharashtra through 1.8 lakh EVMs.
