Bolo A for Apple, Google launches ‘Bolo’ app to help Children improve Hindi-English reading skills
Google always launched the apps which will help people to ease their living or work. Google India come with another brand new app “Bolo” which will help rural children read and comprehend better. The app-enhanced for native Hindi speakers, Google ‘Bolo’ work with all phones with Android 4.4 and higher versions.
This new app, Bolo which created with the aim to help students, especially those how are studying in rural areas to improve their reading and comprehension skills.
The beta version of the ‘Bolo’ app was launched on Wednesday after a pilot project conducted in over 200 villages of Uttar Pradesh with operational support from the ASER center with 900 children of the primary grade.

The app features an animated character ‘Diya’, who encourages children to read stories aloud and helps if the child is unable to pronounce a word. It also lauds the reader they complete the reading.
Bolo app was powered by Google’s speech recognition and text-to-speech technology.
Google also claims the results of the pilot project were “very encouraging”, as it found that 64% of children showed an improvement in reading proficiency in just three months.
