Police arrested two people at an ATM for attracting the attention of a senior citizen and stealing money from his account. The incident took place on 1 February, when a 64-year-old man visited the ATM of a nationalized bank on Ghodbandhar Road in Thane city of Maharashtra, said Kishor Khardarnar, senior inspector of Kasaravadali police station.

He said that the accused pretended to help the elderly person to withdraw cash and instead snatched his ATM card and fake it.
The two later withdrew Rs 19,000 from the man’s account, after which a case of cheating was registered with the Kasrawadali police. During the investigation, the police found that the accused were involved in similar cases of fraud.
An official said the police laid a trap at Mumbra railway station on Thursday and arrested Jiyasuddin Abu Siddiqui (26) and Sujan Abdul Rahman Aga (24).
