On Thursday, the two people of Bhiwandi were convicted by the court in the crime of fake currency and distribution. Additional public prosecutor Ujjwala Moholkar told the court that on 9 January 2016, the officers of the Central Crime Unit apprehended Diwakar and recovered one thousand rupees from him. The accused said that he had taken the fake note from Dabhade, who runs a mobile shop.
After this, the police arrested Dabhade in the crime of printing and distributing fake notes.
District Judge DG Murumkar sentenced Janadorn Tyambak Diwakar (29) to a fine of one thousand and four years rigorous imprisonment, while Nilesh Sharad Dabhade (32) was sentenced to three years rigorous imprisonment and a fine of two thousand.
