Accused of giving triple talaq through WhatsApp message

Accusing him of giving triple talaq through WhatsApp message, a woman has registered a case with the Hayatnagar police of Sambhal district of Uttar Pradesh. With this, the woman has also accused her husband and 7 other in-laws with asking for dowry.

In the FIR lodged by the Hayatnagar police, Ummam Naz has stated that she married Rafi Siddiqui of Aligarh in 2016 and also lived with him for some time in Dubai.

According to Hayatnagar police SHO Ravindra Pratap Singh, the woman alleged that her husband and in-laws were demanding a car and cash in dowry, and on November 22, a message came on WhatsApp from Dubai to the woman. In which she was allegedly divorced by her husband. An FIR was registered on Thursday, and the police are investigating further.
