Three stations on the route of Metro 2A were renamed

The Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority has renamed three stations on the D.N. Nagar route from Dahisar East to Andheri West, D.N. Nagar in Phase 2A of Metro.

Pahari Eksar’s metro station is now named Shimpoli, Valnai is now Valnai Mith Chowki and Pahari Goregaon is now Bangur Nagar.
The names of the stations have been changed as per the demand made by the citizens. The earlier names Pahadi Eksar, Valnai and Pahadi Goregaon were confusing and for government records, documents, local residents said that in reality no one knew the stations by these names.
