Now its Eros Now’s ‘Modi – Journey of a Common Man’ facing EC’s prohibition abide LS polls

The Election Commission of India on Saturday directed the producers of a web series on Prime Minister Narendra Modi to immediately stop its online screening and remove all connected contents till further orders. This is after the EC took a stand on the biopic which the apex court is supposed to consider on 22nd of April.

Taking cognisance of complaints alleging that Modi – Journey of a Common Man was violating the Model Code of Conduct and it amounted to influencing the voters, the ECI wrote to the producers, Eros Now, saying that the said series had the potential to disturb the level playing field during the elections.
