More than 17 lakh government employees in the state are on strike to implement the old pension scheme

The government employees of the state have called a strike from today to demand that the old pension scheme be implemented. Government employees staged protests at various places across the state. More than 17 lakh employees in the state have participated in the strike.
It has been warned that if the state government does not accept the demands of the protestors, then one and a half lakh gazetted officers of the state will also go on strike from March 28.
Meanwhile, Chief Minister Eknath Shinde announced that a study committee will be formed to implement the old pension scheme in the state. However, the government employees have continued their protest against it.
Citizens of the state were affected by this agitation. In many districts, the health workers also joined the agitation, causing the suffering of the patients.
Employees protested outside the Thane Collectorate.
In Navi Mumbai, Konkan Bhavan employees have called an indefinite strike.
