The National Aviators Guild, the pilot body of Jet Airways, in the petition claimed that the lack of funding has affected the livelihood of 22,000 employees, which is a right under constitution. Further it asked the apex court to direct the lenders to release money and restart operations immediately.

They have also asked the Supreme Court to direct the Civil Aviation ministry and aviation regulatory body Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) to decline any de-registration requests of any Jet aircraft and not to re-allocate its slots to other airlines permanently.
