Mumbai-Kokan Railway Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus to Madgaon Janshatabdi Express, Indore Kochuveli and Bhavnagar Kochuveli trains have started running on electricity from Wednesday.
At present, a total of 50 trains are running on Konkan Railway, out of which 15 trains are running on electric engines. The work of electrification of Konkan Railway has been completed and according to the availability of electric engines, all the trains running on diesel engines will be run on electric engines in a phased manner.
At present Diva Ratnagiri Passenger, Netravati Lokmanya Tilak Terminus Konkankanya and Madavi are running on electric engines.
