New Delhi- The Indian Space Research Organization ‘ISRO’ has made a historic achievement on the occasion of Diwali. ISRO’s heaviest rocket, LVM-3, made its first commercial launch on Sunday.
It was broadcast from Sriharikota in Andhra Pradesh at 12:07 PM. This first commercial launch launched 36 OneWeb satellites into space. The LVM-3 rocket is 43.5 meters long and has a payload capacity of up to 8,000 kg of satellites.
Also in 2023, 36 more OneWeb satellites will be launched by LVM-3. Under the agreement of 108 satellites with Britain, 36 satellites have been launched in the first phase, ISRO President S. Somnath gave.
