Eliminate the inconvenience of candidates during police recruitment – Leader of Opposition Ajit Pawar

Mumbai, Dt. 3
Accommodation and food should be provided for the youth coming for police recruitment. Toilets should be provided to them. Special care should be taken for the safety of women candidates. There have been cases of candidates dying due to suffering during the running test. Leader of Opposition Ajit Pawar suggested that the running test should be conducted between 4 am and 10 am to avoid that.
The police recruitment process is going on in the state including Mumbai. Youths are coming in large numbers to recruitment centres. Pawar said that they are facing great difficulties as their accommodation and food are not convenient.
During recruitment at Mumbai University’s Kalina Complex, Ganesh Ugle, a young man, got dizzy and collapsed after running 1,600 meters. He was rushed to hospital, where he died during treatment. Amar Ashok Solanke, a young man who had come to Mumbai for recruitment, suffered a heart attack in the hotel where he was staying and died in the hospital. Pawar also said that repetition of these accidents should be avoided.
