Death threat to NCP Chief Sharad Pawar on social media

NCP President Sharad Pawar has been threatened through the social media that ‘you will soon become a Dabholkar’. In this matter, a delegation led by MP Supriya Sule met Brihanmumbai Police Commissioner today and demanded immediate action.

A Xerox of the screen shot of the threat on social media was given to the Commissioner of Police. Mumbai Regional NCP Working President Narendra Rane, State General Secretary Aditi Nalavde, National Spokesperson Clyde Crasto and other office bearers of the party were present on the occasion.

Meanwhile, every citizen of the state has the right to express his opinion on every question. If someone thinks that they can silence someone’s voice by making threats, then they are wrong. Sharad Pawar expressed his reaction that the responsibility for this lies with the Maharashtra administration.

The government has taken serious note of the threat received by senior leader Sharad Pawar on Twitter. I have personally spoken to senior police officers. Chief Minister Eknath Shinde said that they have also been instructed to investigate

Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis said, threatening any leader or crossing the limits of civility while expressing himself on social media will not be tolerated. In such cases the police will definitely take legal action.
