Dadar’s famous Chitra cinema closed, due to not having good business for single-screen theater

The seven-decade-old famous Chitra cinema of Dadar was closed on Thursday with the screening of Cinema ‘Student of the Year 2’. This theater was going on for seven decades. The ‘Student of the Year’ was shown on the night of May 16 at 9.20 pm in the cinema.

According to the cinema owner Firoz Mehta, “We thought that the audience will come to the last show on Thursday but this has not happened.” He said that this is the legacy of my grandfather which i took  forward. I am sorry that it stopped. “Mehta said that the main reason for its closure is that the single-screen theater business is not good.
