Chief Minister Eknath Shinde approves ‘Good Governance Rules’ – Files travel at only four levels

Chief Minister Eknath Shinde approved the ‘Good Governance Rules’ prepared by the General Administration Department to make the administration of the state accountable, easy, dynamic, transparent and people-oriented. Maharashtra is the first state in the country to frame such regulations.
Get the benefits of government services and schemes easily. For this, Chief Minister Shinde had given instructions in the month of September last year to combine the problems of common people and government procedures and to prepare good governance rules which would be a model for other states.
Retired then Sub Lokayukta Suresh Kumar, Former Chief Secretary and Committee Member Jayant Kumar Banthia, Swadhin Kshatriya, K. P. A committee of Bakshi, Ajit Kumar Jain was appointed. The Good Governance Regulations lay emphasis on providing easy access to services to the citizens.
In this, 161 indices have been prepared department wise and even up to the district level, the performance of good governance will be checked on the basis of these indices. Online services will be provided within time limits and it will be ensured that no file travels beyond four levels. The draft law in this regard will be sent to the Law and Justice Department.
