Chief Minister Eknath Shinde announced that the birth anniversary of freedom fighter Savarkar will be celebrated as freedom fighter glory day

Chief Minister Eknath Shinde announced here today that the birth anniversary of freedom fighter Vinayak Damodar Savarkar will be celebrated as ‘Freedom Hero Pride Day’ by the state government.
Various programs and activities will be organized on the Independence Day to promote the ideas of Swatantra Veer Savarkar.
Swatantraveer Savarkar has made important contribution for the freedom of the country, for the upliftment of the nation. Savarkar advocated abolition of untouchability, social reforms. Industries Minister Uday Samant had requested Chief Minister Shinde through a letter that if the young generation wants to carry forward their patriotism, courage and progressive ideas, it is necessary to celebrate the birth anniversary of freedom hero Savarkar.
According to this, Chief Minister Shinde announced that from this year May 28th will be celebrated as Independence Day.
