Auction of properties worth Rs 6.50 crore under Morbi Gram Panchayat on April 20

Panvel, Dt. 10
Properties worth Rs 6.50 crore under Morbi Gram Panchayat will be auctioned on April 20. This is an auction of seized properties of developers in the 33 order case of ‘Maharera’ and the amount collected from it will be given to the concerned complainant.
The auction will be held at the Gram Panchayat office of Mauje Morbe at 11 am. The Panvel Tehsil Office has provided facility to the interested persons to view the property till April 19 (excluding holidays) from 11 am to 3 am.
A large number of complaints against private developers are being filed with ‘Maharera’. According to this, after it is proved that the consumers have been cheated and the RERA Act has been violated, the complainant is ordered to return the amount paid to the developer for the property with interest by Maharera. However, recovery orders or recovery warrants are issued by Maharera against developers who do not comply with this order. Accordingly, the developer’s property is auctioned and a fixed amount is given to the concerned complainant.
This process is completed through the District Collector. However, since the collector is not implementing the recovery order, the outstanding amount is increasing and the customers and complainants have to wait.
