“Our police force needs to be technologically strong. We are bringing in more digitisation for providing speedy governance and also are making these systems secure and safe”, said CM Maharashtra Devendra Fadnavis while laying the foundation stone for the cyber-crime office and police housing by Maharashtra State Police Housing on June 15.
“We have selected 1000 officials to give them proper training. On one hand we are bringing in more digitisation for providing speedy governance and on the other, we are making these systems secure & safe too”, he said in his address to attendees.
CM performed the religious rituals while laying the foundation stone of the cyber-crime office which also involves contribution of the Welfare Corporation. Minister Deepak Kesarkar, MP Poonam Mahajan, MLA Ashish Shelar, Mumbai CP were present.
“Today crime, is moving from streets to white collar crime. Next era will be of new challenges and we have taken many initiatives to tackle these new challenges. 40 cyber labs have been set up, a proper framework is in place”, he signed off.
