Union Home Minister Amit Shah asserted that Appasaheb Dharmadhikari’s teachings to the society are eternal, today at Kharghar.
Veteran composer Appasaheb Dharmadhikari was conferred the Maharashtra Bhushan Award by Shah at a ceremony held at the Central Park ground in Kharghar on Sunday. Shah was speaking at that time. Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, Cultural Affairs Minister Sudhir Mungantiwar along with various leaders of all parties and lakhs of followers were present on the occasion.
I have never seen such a huge crowd in my life. This crowd shows respect, honor and devotion towards Appasaheb in your mind. This kind of honor, respect, devotion comes only through sacrifice, dedication and service, which is within Appasaheb. Stating that this is the honor of his achievements and teachings of Nana Saheb, Shah said, Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis have given ‘Maharashtra Bhushan’ award to Appasaheb and inspired millions of people to live.
On this occasion, Appasaheb Dharmadhikari announced that the amount of Rs. 25 lakh received from the award will be given to the Chief Minister’s Assistance Fund. He will continue his social work till his last breath. Everyone should work without depending on blessings. Fame does not usually come. Social service work is never done. I want to get more life for this work. Satkirti should be increased, Apkirti should be stopped. Appasaheb Dharmadhikari also said that one has to work hard to increase fame.
Dharmadhikari family has made a great contribution to light the flame of knowledge in every household. Chief Minister Shinde said that Nanasaheb and Appasaheb Dharmadhikari have done the work of rescuing the ruined families and now Sachindada Dharmadhikari is carrying forward the legacy. Deputy Chief Minister Fadnavis said, you are the richest man in the world. The people gathered here are the eighth wonder of the world. Clothes can be washed if damaged. But how to clean the mind? Appasaheb is a mind cleansing chemical.
