Protests against the controversial Citizenship (Amendment) Act continued here on Thursday, involving a group of activists, with the authors demonstrating against the law. Writers and social workers participated in the demo against the amended Citizenship Act and were joined by various political parties and organizations in opposition to the CAA.

Senior CPI leader R Nallakannu, founder of Viduthalai Chiruthigal Kachchi (VCK) and Lok Sabha MP Thol Thirumavalavan, DMK MP Kanimozhi, State President of CPI-M. Balakrishnan, IUML state leader, and others joined the protest.
