Mumbai Police arrested 51 fugitive accused in a raid on Tuesday. Action was also taken against illegal sale of liquor, unauthorized hawkers, violators of traffic rules.
The police started this operation from eleven o’clock on Tuesday night. Upper Commissioner of Police of all the five regional divisions of Mumbai, Upper Commissioner of Police of Special Branch, 14 Regional Deputy Commissioner of Police, Deputy Commissioner of Police Special Branch Security, 28 Divisional Assistant Commissioner of Police, Senior Police Inspector of all police stations and other police officers and employees participated.
This action was taken under the guidance of Commissioner of Police Vivek Phansalkar, Special Commissioner of Police Deven Bharti, Joint Commissioner of Police (Law and Order) Satyanarayan Chaudhary.
