5 accused arrested for looting cash and valuables

The police have succeeded in arresting 5 accused on the charge of looting 35 thousand supes from two residents of Kalwa here on December 4 last. After this arrest on Wednesday morning, after an investigation by the police, it has come to know that the accused were hiding in Lucknow city of Uttar Pradesh after committing the crime.

According to police, two residents of Waghoba Nagar in Kalwa were attacked by five accused on the morning of December 4 and looted cash and valuables worth Rs 35,000. Police have arrested Abhishek Singh (23), Bharat Jadhav (25), Ashutosh Kalkal (21), Parameswar Patole (19), and Abhishek Ambavkar (19) on the same charge.

According to the police, the accused is a resident of Navi Mumbai, and this person also tried to extort weeks from some traders in Navi Mumbai. Along with this, these people have also damaged the cars of a local corporator of Navi Mumbai and three others.

And in those cases also, the accused have been charged under the relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code, which is registered at Kalwa Police Station and MIDC Rabale Police Station in Navi Mumbai.
