$ 4 million for the World Cup winner, the ICC declared the biggest award!

International Cricket Council (ICC) yesterday made a spectacular announcement! and the Winner team will get $ 4 million (a little more than INR 28 Crore) along with the trophy,  the ‘highest’ prize money to date.

As per the ICC announcement, runner-up will receive $ 2 million prize and the losing semifinalists are being offered $ 8 lakh each.

45 prizes of $ 40,000 each will be given to the winners of each League stage match whereas 6 teams that will pass the league stage will receive $ 1,00,000 each.

Thus ICC is going to offer a total prize of $ 10 million to the best performers in the upcoming World Cup. 10 teams will enter into the battle of 46-day tournament to be held in on 11 venues in England and Wales starting on 30th May.
