Twenty-four people, including 17 students, were injured when a bus rammed into a truck in Raigad district of Maharashtra on Thursday morning, a police official said.
He said that the accident occurred at Nagothane at 8.30 am when the state transport bus was going to Mumbai from Alibaug, about 95 km from here.
The driver of the high-speed truck coming from the opposite direction lost control of the wheel. As a result, the vehicle collided with the bus, he said.
“Twenty-four people, including 17 students of a college and a truck driver, were injured. All of them were admitted to a nearby hospital. Two of these injured were later shifted to MGM Hospital in Navi Mumbai,” the official said.
He said that all the injured persons were reported to be out of danger.
