2.0 trailer: Get ready for Rajinikanth- Akshay Kumar’s high-voltage face-off

Makers of Rajinikanth- Akshay Kumar starrer science fiction 2.0 on Saturday officially unveiled the much-awaited trailer amidst much fanfare.

In 2.0 trailer, the faceoff between Akshay Kumar’s cellphone-obsessed devil avatar and superstar Rajinikanth’s upgraded Chitti version enthralls movie buffs. With the heavy dose of VFX and intriguing backroad scores of AR Rahman sets the correct tone for yet another magnum opus.

With the whopping budget of Rs 500 crore, director Shankar’s 2.0 is touted to be the costliest film after SS Rajamauli’s Baahubali series. ‘2.0’ will be a grand visual treat for all Rajini fans, where Thalaiva will reprise the role of Dr. Vaseegaran and Chitti, the robot.

‘2.0’ will mark the return of the super-hit combo of director Shankar and Rajinikanth after the successful outing of Sivaji: The Boss and ‘Enthiran’. This will be the first Tamil film of Action hero Akshay Kumar.

Besides Rajini and Akshay Kumar, the film has an ensemble cast which includes Jackson, Sudhanshu Pandey, Adil Hussain, Kalabhavan Shajohn, Riyaz Khan in the pivotal role. Music is composed by Legendary AR Rehman.

Renowned production company Lyca production in association with Veteran filmmaker-producer Karan Johar’s Dharma Production has bankrolled the magnum opus. Dharma Production will present the Hindi version. ‘2.0’ was shot in Tamil and Hindi and dubbed in Telugu.
