1,101 crore has been allocated in the Union Budget 2023-24 for the ongoing Mumbai City Transport Projects (MUTP) on the Central and Western Suburban Railway lines in Mumbai.
MRVC is implementing various projects on the Mumbai Suburban Railway line under MUTP. For these projects, 50 percent funding each is provided by the Ministry of Railways and the State Government. A provision of Rs 575 crore was made in the budget for the financial years 2022-23 for the projects.
MUTP 2 : Presently CSMT – Kurla 5th – 6th route, Mumbai Central – Borivali 6th route, MUTP 3 : Total cost Rs.10 thousand 947 crore Virar – Dahanu Chaupadarikaran, Panvel – Karjat new dual suburban route, Airoli – Kalwa link road, 47 AC Local etc. works are going to be done.
