Why do farmers need to tell caste while buying fertilizer?- Leader of Opposition Ajit Pawar asked

Mumbai, Dt. 10
If the farmers of Sangli district want to buy chemical fertilizers from the fertilizer dealers, the farmer first has to tell his caste, which breed he belongs to. The same is recorded in the POS machine. This is an outrageous thing, farmers don’t go. I can’t stomach you. So, what is the need to tell about the caste while buying? Leader of Opposition in Legislative Assembly Ajit Pawar asked this angry question.
Over the past few days, there have been updates to the software system of e-POS machines. In it, caste section has been newly inserted in e-pos. The Khatkharedi process does not proceed without paying the caste rakana. . Like the farmers, the opposition members in the House have strong feelings about the government’s efforts to stick the caste label on the farmers. Caste registration option in e-POS machines should be removed today. Pawar also demanded that action should be taken against the senior officer who has done this.
