Thala’s big no to politics

Acclaimed actor Ajith Kumar popularly known as ‘Thala’ on Monday refuted all the reports over his alleged political entry. The ace actor in an official statement clarified that he will never venture into any kind of political activities. He appealed his fans not to link him with any political outfit.

“Acting is my only career and I am not interested in politics,” said Ajith. He further stated that he will never encourage fans and supporters to back a political party.

Terming social media reports misleading and malicious, the award-winning actor asked fans to stay away from rumor. “My participation in politics is restricted to standing in line during elections to vote.” He mentioned.

Responding to fan wars and Social media trolling, the multi-talented actor opined that people should maintain the dignity of other artists. He further advised his fans to invest more in their student or professional work.

“I have never accepted derogatory comments made against certain actors or critics on social media. The world that is watching everything will not pardon such actions,” said Ajith.

Thala’s ‘Viswasam’ was released on January 10 with decent performance on box-office. Ajith Kumar is also involved in Tamil remake of award-winning Hindi flick Pink where late Sridevi’s Husband Boney Kapoor is backing the court-room drama.

Ajith Kumar’s outrage against politics is nothing new. During a DMK sponsored event when he was asked to speak few words for veteran Karunanidhi, the actor stood- up and asked organizers not to force Cinema artist to grace the political event. The Courageous speech with a standing ovation was applauded by none other than Superstar Rajinikanth.
