“To eradicate terrorism, we will give every cooperation to India and neighboring states to ensure future generation are safe. We applaud India’s role in this matter”, said Crown Prince Mohammed Bin Salman while addressing the press conference after delegation-level talks.
While preferring the terrorist attack in Pulwama, PM Modi said in his address, “We agree nations who spread terror need to be punished”.
On this address, Modi stated that We have agreed that terrorism should not be supported in any form, and we should put pressure on the countries that back terror. To end terror infrastructure, ending support to terror groups and punishing them is essential, so that young people don’t take up arms. I am glad Saudi Arabia agree with India on this”.
Further, PM Modi added, discussions were also held on various aspects of the strategic relationship and trade ties, “It is time to convert partnership into strategic partnership”, this is no longer just a buyer-seller relationship, I welcome Saudi investment in infrastructure.
The leaders of India and Saudi Arabia held delegation-level talks on key areas of mutual interest like trade and investment, energy, defense and security, nuclear energy and space missions, civil aviation, renewable energy, counter-terrorism, community welfare, and regional challenges.
Both countries also signed five pacts in the areas of investment, tourism, housing, and information technology and broadcasting in this delegation level talks.
Earlier to the delegation level talks, Saudi Crown Prince said, “Relations between India and Arabian peninsula is in our DNA”.
