Hyderabad: As a mark of respect, the Telangana government has decided to build a memorial for former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee. Addressing the members of Legislative Council, Caretaker Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao announced the decision of the state government.
The Chief Minister informed that memorial along with a statue would be developed in the memory of the great leader. Rao further added that the state government has cleared the desk for the proposed memorial.
Describing Vajpayee as the statesman, Rao said that the former Prime Minister was instrumental in shaping India’s future. Revisiting the tenure of Vajpayee led government, the Chief Minister stated that path-breaking schemes such as Pradhan Mantri Grameena Sadak Yojana had paved the way for village empowerment.
