Supreme Court again postpones Ram janmabhoomi case; now on 10 Jan

The Supreme Court said on Friday, an appropriate bench constituted by it will pass an order on January 10 for fixing the date of hearing in the Ram Janmabhoomi-Babri Masjid land dispute title case at Ayodhya.

Chief Justice Ranjan Gogoi said, “Further orders will be passed by an appropriate bench on January 10 for fixing the date of hearing the matter.”

In the exciting and overcrowded courtroom, with the expectation of hearing on Ayodhya dispute, the Bench led by Chief Justice, Ranjan Gogai declared that the hearing will be held on January, 10.

With the Chief Justice Gogai, the case was posted before a three-judge bench on January, 10 scheduled to hearing of the case.

SC rejected the appeal seeking an early hearing in the Ram Janmabhoomi-Babri Masjid title suit on November, 12. Last year, SC also rejected the appeal by Muslim Parties to refer Ayodhya land dispute to five judges constitutional bench and fixed hearing to begin from October, 29. SC forwarded the matter to appropriate order on January, 4.

Allahabad High Court in 2010, divided this disputed land in Ayodhya in three parts- the Sunni Waqf Board, Nirmohi Akhara and Ram Lalla.
