Sufficient water storage in ‘Mumbai’

Sufficient water storage in the irrigation pond for the whole year. Relief for Mumbaikars, relief from water cuts .Due to abundant rainfall this season, the lake area that supplies water to Mumbai has accumulated enough water for the whole year. So Mumbaikars are freed from water shortage till next year’s monsoon season.

Last year in 2021 water storage of 14 lakh 34 thousand 391 million liters (99.10) percent; So in 2020, 14 lakh 24 thousand 257 million liters (98.40) percent of water was available.

According to the information received from the Brihanmumbai Municipal Water Department, the reservoirs that supply water to Mumbai have 97.46 percent water storage. This water storage is sufficient till next year’s monsoon season.
14 lakh 47 thousand 363 million liters of water is available in these lakes till 7 October 22. Therefore, the municipal administration has claimed that there will be no water reduction in Mumbai in the future.
Mumbai is supplied with water from Upper Vaitrana, Modak Sagar, Tansa, Madhya Vaitrana etc lakes
