Soon, the dream of International flight will come true: Government preparing for UDAN-3

The dream of international flight in the affordable prize will fulfill in near future, as the Government of India is finalizing the procedure of the 3rd phase of UDAN (Ude Desh ka Aam Nagrik) scheme.

According to various media reports, the cost of flying international destinations under the scheme will be as low as Rs. 2500. This scheme initiated by PM Modi’s government for subsidized low fare flight to connect small cities and help more people to fly.

The 3rd phase of UDAN i.e “International UDAN’ scheme will focus on the extension of the Regional Connectivity Scheme (RCS) to international routes and destinations.

According to official sources, under this 3rd phase, Assam airports will get connect with Thailand and Nepal, likewise, Bihar airports may get direct connectivity to Nepal, Bangladesh, and Myanmar.

If the things happened according to plan, the Ministry of Civil Aviation will announce the scheme of international flight tickets starting from Rs. 2500.

The stakeholders are showing growing and positive interest towards this initiative. The government recently invited bids for the 3rd phase and received bids for 11 routes from 15 airlines.

The government in 2016 announced the UDAN scheme where the fares were capped at Rs 2,500 for a one-hour journey for connecting smaller towns.

The government is also planning to introduce seaplanes in the upcoming phase.
