Having joined the Indian Army, beloved Indian cricket player M. S. Dhoni will be deployed in the Kashmir valley as part of Victor Force. India’s “most successful captain” will stay with the troops and take on the duties of patrolling, guard and post duty. 38-year-old Dhoni is proceeding to 106 TA Battalion (Para) for being with the Battalion from 31 Jul-15 Aug 19.

MS Dhoni holds the honorary rank of Lieutenant Colonel in the Territorial Army unit of the Parachute Regiment (106 Para TA battalion) and was accorded the honour by the Indian Army in 2011. He was given this honour along with Abhinav Bindra and Deepak Rao.
MS Dhoni became a qualified paratrooper when he completed 5 parachute training jumps from Indian Army aircrafts at the Agra training camp.

Dhoni has begun his two-month training with Indian Army’s Parachute Regiment. On Wednesday, he joined the battalion which has its headquarters in Bengaluru.
M.S. Dhoni had led India to victory in the 2007 T20 World Cup, 2011 World Cup and the 2013 Champions Trophy.
