Opposition sloganeering and boycott of the assembly on farmers’ issue

Mumbai, Dt. 9
Opposition leader Ajit Pawar alleged in the Legislative Assembly today that due to unseasonal rains, farmers have become despondent in the state and farmers are committing suicide in the Agriculture Minister’s constituency. He expressed displeasure over the government not announcing immediate help to the farmers.
The government stands firmly behind the farmers of the state. Chief Minister Eknath Shinde reiterated that the government will provide necessary assistance to the onion producing farmers.
The government immediately started Panchnama, some work is still pending. Chief Minister Shinde also said that after the Panchnama is completed, we will give help to the farmers and the opposition should not play politics on it.
Dissatisfied with this answer, the opposition came to Houda and shouted slogans and left the meeting.
