NIA nabs wanted Naxal in Bihar for involvement in illegal arms and ammunition
In a series of combating terror and battling against illegal arms and ammunition, the National Investigation Agency arrested Bihar native who was allegedly involved in the case of extortion by the Naxalites.
The NIA arrested a wanted Naxal from the Katihar district in Bihar was named as Umesh Kumar Yadav as he was seen involved in the case of extortion by Naxalites, and will be produced before a court.
The NIA official said, “The case relates to recovery of arms and ammunition and extortion of funds by accused Anil Ram at Muzaffarpur. The arrested accused is members of prohibited organization CPI (Maoist) and had collected arms and ammunition and were found to be involved in the collection of funds through extortion (levy) for the furtherance of activities of the organization”
This is the fourth arrest in this case by the NIA as it had earlier apprehended Musafir Shahani, Dilip Sahni and Kamlesh Bhagat who were involved in this case.
