Maha RERA Training Certificate Mandatory for Agents Dealing in Home Sales

Mumbai, Dt. 20
According to the RERA Act, training certificate of Maha RERA has been made mandatory for the old and new intermediaries in the real estate sector.
Agents can work as agents only if they are registered with Maharera. Many consumers buy and sell houses through agents. This often leads to customer fraud. As there is no education and training to work as an agent, anyone does this business. Therefore, Maha RERA has made training certificate mandatory to arrest those who cheat the customers.
The training for this has started and by the end of April, the online exam will be conducted through IBPS (Institute of Banking Personnel Selection).
Training certificate will be mandatory for new registration and renewal from May 1. However, more than 39,000 registered Maharera agents have been given a deadline of September 1 to submit the certificate.
