India and South Korea join hands promoting sports

Connecting strong relations demographically, India and South Korea have gone a long way enhancing bilateral ties. With cabinet giving approval for the MoU signed in tourism sector last week, the new league of development, India and South Korea have signed MoU in the field of sports.

The Memorandum of Understanding covers a range of areas including elite sports, sport science, and anti-doping. The MoU was signed by Union Minister of Sports Rajyavardhan Rathore and Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism of South Korea Do Jonghwan.

In a tweet by Union Minister Rajyavardhan Rathore, he said, “Both nations will benefit greatly from exchange of expertise in the field.”

Earlier in the day, External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj called on the First Lady of South Korea, Mrs Kim Jung-sook. India and ROK share a special strategic partnership since 2015 and our relations have deepened and diversified in recent years.

India and South Korea have time and again proved that the relation shared by both the country is strong and would only develop with coming times.
