The Vishrambagh police arrested four female thieves from Karnataka who stole the mobile phone of a woman who had come to see the dramas of the famous Dagdusheth Halwai Ganpati Mandir in the city. This incident took place on 3rd September, at around 6:30 in the evening.
The complainant girl came to see Dagdusheth Halwai Ganapati on 3rd September. At that time, four women took advantage of the crowd and stole a mobile worth Rs 40,000 from her bag. The girl informed the police as soon as she saw the woman who stole the mobile phone. Accordingly, the Vishrambagh police detained and arrested the four thieves.
In another incident, the police arrested a thief who stole Rs 2,000 from the pocket of a senior citizen who was standing in the darshan queue at Dagdusheth Halwai Ganapati Temple. The incident took place on 4th September at 1.30 pm. The arrested individual was identified as Sandeep Sunil Borse (age 27 of Kharde, Shirpur, Dhule). Vilas Nikalje (aged 70, resident of Bhumkar Mala) lodged a complaint in this matter.
