An officer said a fire broke out in a packing material unit in the Byculla area of Mumbai in the early hours of Monday. There were no casualties in the accident. The fire broke out at the commercial establishment located at the Kanchwala compound in the Dhobi Ghat area around 5.30 am.
“It was a ‘Level-2’ fire. Four water tankers and several fire engines were dispatched to the spot and the fire was controlled at around 7.30 am. No casualties were reported,” he said. He said that the cause of the fire has not yet been ascertained.
